First picture for my blog!

So, I got bored at work this afternoon- it finally slowed down after a crazy day yesterday- and decided to take a picture! It's in the work bathroom so you'll have to excuse the "do-it-yourself" picture. I'll make Addam take some this weekend! So here's my picture and an updated survey:

How far along? 13 weeks 4 days

Total weight gain/loss: Probably around 3-5 lbs depending on the time of day I weigh in. Still the same- thank goodness!

Stretch marks? None! Hopefully it will stay that way!

Sleep: I'm still sleeping pretty well with lots of pillows.

Best moment this week: It's Friday so that's pretty exciting. Other than that, nothing too eventful.

Movement: No baby movement yet but I can feel muscle twitches every so often. They are way too high at this point to be baby so I think it's just everything getting moved around.

Food cravings: Eggrolls from the new Thai place Addam found. Mmmm, I swear they are the best eggrolls ever!

Gender: We'll either find out Jan 5th or Feb 3rd! The sooner the better!!

Labor Signs: None at all and hopefully not for a long time!- Same.

Belly Button in or out? In

What I miss: Pants that fit! I haven't bought many pairs of maternity pants yet and my normal pants are so uncomfortable. Looks like it's time to go shopping!

What I am looking forward to: Finding out the gender. Now that it's only a few weeks away, I can't wait!!!!

We closed on our house & survey!

We have a home to bring Baby Lewis home to! Yay! I found this survey in someone else's blog so I stole it to keep you guys up to date! I'll try to redo it every few weeks.

How far along? 11 weeks 1 day

Total weight gain/loss: Probably around 3-5 lbs depending on the time of day I weigh in.

Stretch marks? None!

Sleep: So-so. I sleep best with lots of pillows piled up all around me.

Best moment this week: We closed on our house Monday! I'm so excited to start setting everything up and getting our home ready to bring Baby Lewis home.

Movement: Nope, nothing yet. Can't wait!

Food cravings: I don't have anything specific that I'm craving but I do eat like every 15 minutes.

Gender: Unknown still. We don't find out until the end of January. I wish we could know now!

Labor Signs: None at all and hopefully not for a long time!

Belly Button in or out? In

What I miss: Nothing too bad yet. May be sleeping through the night without getting up to pee 3 times.

What I am looking forward to: Only 2 more weeks left in the first trimester. I will feel great once we hear the heartbeat at our December 9th ultrasound.

Weekly Wisdom: Make sure to be pregnant every time we move! It gets you out of all the heavy lifting! Just kidding- well kind of :)

Milestones: I have a tiny bump! If you didn't know I was pregnant, you would just think I had a little too much pie over Thanksgiving but I can tell. It's still pretty easy to hide (thank goodness, since I haven't told work!).

10 weeks and house update!

I'm 10 weeks today!! Ten weeks sounds so much further along than 9. I think it's the double digits. :) This weekend I broke down and bought some maternity clothes. I didn't realize how fitted my clothes were before getting pregnant. Most of my shirts still fit but it just looks like I have a beer gut- not attractive! I bought a few loose fitting shirts and a pair of jeans. I'm pretty sure maternity jeans are the most comfortable thing ever. I don't know if you'll ever get me to wear pants that don't have an elastic waist band again. I can't wait to wear them. Since we are in the process of moving, I still don't have internet access from home (only work and my cell phone). As soon as we do, I will start uploading pictures.

Bad news on the house today. Our appraisal came in $6,500 short! Apparently a house just around the block sold in Aug/Sept for well under value because the owners needed to "unload" it. This could be good news if the current owners of our home will accept the appraised value. Unfortunately, we don't think that they have any equity in the home which means we would be counting on them having the cash to write a check out pf pocket for a significant amount of money. Fingers crossed!!!!

First Ultrasound!!

Yesterday has to be the coolest thing I've ever seen. Addam was off work (Veteran's Day) so I took a half day and moved my appointment up to the afternoon. After waiting what seemed like forever (really, it was an hour and a half!), the doctor finally came in and asked a few questions then said it was time for the ultrasound. He was able to find Baby Lewis pretty quickly. We got to see the flicker of the heartbeat!! Baby is measuring right on track and there's only one in there. :) Dr. also said that once you are this far along and see a strong heartbeat, the chances of miscarriage are very low. Wahoo!!

We got a great picture where you can actually see the head and little arm buds and it looks like a baby! If I can figure out how to scan it in, I'll post the picture. Don't ask Addam though, as the doctor was moving the wand, he thought it looked like a little shark. Due date is still set for June 21, 2010. Now we're excited to finish sharing our news with friends and extended family!

7 weeks+

Well, today I'm at 7 weeks 2 days. All the books say that the symptoms should be in full effect by now. I've been lucky so far. Other than some mild fatigue and feeling incredibly bloated, I have nothing else to show. Addam may comment on pregnancy hormones, but not very often if he knows what's good for him! :) No morning sickness yet! I'm really hoping to be part of the 25% that never gets it. Fingers crossed! Our next appointment is a week from today. I will feel so much better after we get to see the heartbeat!

Things are really coming along with the house. We have all the paperwork turned in to our lender and we've locked in our rate. Our house inspection is scheduled for Saturday at 10:00 am. We're hoping to be in the house before Thanksgiving but that will be cutting it close.

They accepted our counter offer!!

We got the house! We are so excited! Yesterday, they accepted our counter offer and included the fridge! Now we just have to get through the appraisal and home inspection and we may be in the new house before Thanksgiving! Now we just have to start packing...

Finding Casa de Lewis

Last night we went back to the house we really liked. We measured all 4 bedrooms upstairs. The master has plenty of room but the 3 smaller bedrooms are a little smaller than we were hoping. They will be fine for kids rooms but for now, we have spare queen size bedroom suites that may not fit! The yard and the living room are still perfect though! I don't think we are going to find anything else that is new, huge fenced yard, great open floor plan, and all 4 bedrooms upstairs at the price we could (hopefully) get this house. Addam wants to see a few more houses tonight to make sure it's "the one". If all goes well, we could be putting an offer in tonight!

I guess we'll see what our realtor has to show us tonight! But here's a few pics of the house I like!

First Appointment

Well, as I expected, my first appointment was pretty uneventful. They took some blood and went over a few things. Apparently I am allowed to highlight my hair and be around fresh paint as long as the rooms are well ventilated. I can travel up to 36 weeks. It was too early to do an ultrasound because you can't see the heartbeat until after 6 weeks. I might have one at my next appointment which is in 3 weeks. It's going to be such a long wait! I'll be just over 8 weeks so that would be exciting! They gave me a goody bag when I left of a few magazines, a week-by-week guide, and a calendar. Gotta love free stuff :)

I still have very few symptoms. No morning sickness (knock on wood) at all. I may feel slightly fatigued but nothing too noticeable. I know sometimes symptoms don't hit until 6 weeks. I guess only time will tell! I'm trying to tell myself I'm lucky to still feel great but I just want to make sure everything in progressing normally!

After my appointment, I met Addam and we went to look at a few houses. We found a new realtor that we really like and he came up with a few good options. The last house was my favorite! It has a wonderful open floor plan downstairs, a large fenced in back yard, and all 4 bedrooms upstairs. It's also only 3 years old and very competitively priced. It might be the one!

5 weeks!

Tomorrow marks one week since the big news! This weekend was uneventful. We did have to cancel a trip to Kings Island on Saturday. As it turns out, roller coasters aren't on the "ok" list when you're knocked up! :) We went and looked at a few houses. One of them had an amazing backyard and all 4 bedrooms on the 2nd floor. The downstairs was a little smaller than we like. It's definitely going to make the short list. We have another appointment with our realtor Wednesday and we're looking forward to seeing what he comes up with.

Wednesday is also my first appointment! I'm excited but not sure exactly what to expect. I will only be 5 weeks and 2 days so I'm sure it will be too soon to see anything. Probably just a lot of paperwork and blood tests.

Breaking The News!

Well, it's official! I'm knocked up! It all started on Tuesday night. Addam and I had planned on going to Outback to celebrate our 4 month wedding anniversary (cheesy, I know). I decided to test "just in case" so I could enjoy a guilt free glass of wine. As soon as it crossed the test panel, the plus sign was unmistakable! Addam got home about an hour after I took the test. I asked him if he wanted a present before we went out to dinner and handed him the test. He hugged and kissed me. Then must have asked "Are you serious?!" "Are you sure?!" like 5 times.

He was so cute at dinner, he started worrying about how to pay for everything, how to save more, that may be we should buy a smaller house. Silly husband! He is over protective all ready! We are so cautiously excited!
