Update: Nursery Remodel

Good morning everyone! Let's start off with an updated baby bump picture. This was taken last night at 19 weeks. She has definitely been growing in the last 2 weeks. My bump pictures are always taken in what will eventually be her nursery. This week, you'll notice we've been trying out different paint colors on this wall. :) Our crib, hutch, and changing table all came in last night! They are a beautiful dark, rich cherry. We are so happy with them! According to UPS, the bedding is currently in transit from Nashville TN so we're hoping it will be here soon!

This is the updated walk in closet. Dry wall is almost complete!

Here's our paint test wall. We think we have decided on a color but want to wait until the bedding comes in to make sure it matches. You'll have to wait for more updates to see!

This is the wall where the half closet used to be. It's really starting to come together. We ordered the new carpet from Lowe's last night. They have to come out and measure the room which they will hopefully do on Friday. We're hoping it will be installed by the middle of next week.

That's all for now! Love, The Lewis' (all 3!)

So what was Addam up to yesterday....

Our 4th bedroom is the smallest bedroom and had an unfinished closet. Our original plan was to finish the closet, add shelving, and install a pocket door to create space in the room. Well, Addam and his friend decided they had other plans...

Here is Wall 1 before. This is where the closet was supposed to go....

Here is Wall 1 after (in progress)! They completely knocked out the wall to add an additional 36 square feet to the room!

So where will the closet go you ask??? Well, here is Wall 2 before. These shelves where supposed to come down and get installed into the closet...

And here is Wall 2 in progress! They cut a hole in the wall to find a huge unfinished space! This will be the new walk in closet for the nursery adding an additional 36 square feet of finished space onto this side!!!!!

I am so excited and can't wait to start decorating!!!!!! I'll make sure and update the progress on our project! Here's an updated picture from last week (17 weeks).

18 weeks!

This is a picture of the closet we're putting into the nursery. You can see where the paint ends- there used to be a wall there!

How far along? 18 weeks- wow, time is really starting to fly!!
Total weight gain/loss: About 7 lbs.
Stretch marks? None!
Sleep: Pretty well lately. Only getting up once or twice a night. Trying to enjoy it while it lasts!
Best moment this week: Well, it's only the beginning of the week but we started remodeling the room that will be the nursery today. We are installing a pocket door for the closet, adding closet space, and putting in organizers for the closet. I can't wait until this part is finished and we can start decorating!
Movement: Starting last week, I have felt her pretty much everyday. Only like once or twice a day though. I can't wait for it to be strong enough for Addam to feel it too!
Food cravings: Still nothing too crazy. My sweet tooth came back though. I'm usually always a big sweets person and in the beginning of this pregnancy, I would have much rather had a cheeseburger than a candy bar. But the sweet tooth came back!
Gender: GIRL!
Labor Signs: None at all and hopefully not for a long time!
Belly Button in or out? In
What I miss: We went to Outback for dinner and I had to order my steak medium. It was not that good. I can't wait for a mid-rare steak!
What I am looking forward to: Picking out her name! I think we've narrowed it down to two names but we don't agree on the spelling for either one!!
Weekly Wisdom: I'm glad we started looking at registering already. There is so many things to choose from!
Milestones: Definitely feeling movement more frequently. It's so cool!

It's a girl !?!?!

Wow, I think that's still sinking in. Last night I went home and looked at the little pink baby girl clothes and that makes it seem a little more "real". I should be used to little girls! We've got 2 nieces in Ky, 2 cousins who are like our nieces (ages 8 and 2), all our best friends have girls (Lori, Cortney, Lamonte, Kim's 2 nieces, JR & Kristen...)! I feel like everything we had picked out or liked (bouncer seat/ sports bedding etc.) is masculine. We had 3 boy names we liked and NO little girl names! Well, at least she'll have several best friends to choose from! We are going to get started on the registry now that we know the gender which is fun!

Here an update:
How far along? 16 weeks 3 days

Total weight gain/loss: Depends on what you go- by but my home scale that I use every morning it's around 7-9 lbs. By the doctor's scale I'm only up about 5 as of my appointment yesterday. I'm thinking the doctor's scale is obviously more accurate, right?!? :)

Stretch marks? None! I'm using Palmer's Tummy Butter every night so I hope it stays that way.

Sleep: Pretty good. I'm still loving all my pillows piled up around me. I found a body pillow online called the Snoogle that I'm seriously considering. Unfortunately, it's $60!

Best moment this week: Definitely finding out that we're having a daughter!

Movement: I have felt a few little pops and flutters here and there but not even every day. I can't wait until Addam can feel her from the outside but that's still a few weeks away.

Food cravings: Still nothing really. I'm really hungry right now though!

Gender: GIRL!!!

Labor Signs: None at all and hopefully not for a long time!

Belly Button in or out? InWhat I miss: Nothing really. I'm enjoying this!

What I am looking forward to: Feeling movement more frequently and from the outside.
