They accepted our counter offer!!

We got the house! We are so excited! Yesterday, they accepted our counter offer and included the fridge! Now we just have to get through the appraisal and home inspection and we may be in the new house before Thanksgiving! Now we just have to start packing...

Finding Casa de Lewis

Last night we went back to the house we really liked. We measured all 4 bedrooms upstairs. The master has plenty of room but the 3 smaller bedrooms are a little smaller than we were hoping. They will be fine for kids rooms but for now, we have spare queen size bedroom suites that may not fit! The yard and the living room are still perfect though! I don't think we are going to find anything else that is new, huge fenced yard, great open floor plan, and all 4 bedrooms upstairs at the price we could (hopefully) get this house. Addam wants to see a few more houses tonight to make sure it's "the one". If all goes well, we could be putting an offer in tonight!

I guess we'll see what our realtor has to show us tonight! But here's a few pics of the house I like!

First Appointment

Well, as I expected, my first appointment was pretty uneventful. They took some blood and went over a few things. Apparently I am allowed to highlight my hair and be around fresh paint as long as the rooms are well ventilated. I can travel up to 36 weeks. It was too early to do an ultrasound because you can't see the heartbeat until after 6 weeks. I might have one at my next appointment which is in 3 weeks. It's going to be such a long wait! I'll be just over 8 weeks so that would be exciting! They gave me a goody bag when I left of a few magazines, a week-by-week guide, and a calendar. Gotta love free stuff :)

I still have very few symptoms. No morning sickness (knock on wood) at all. I may feel slightly fatigued but nothing too noticeable. I know sometimes symptoms don't hit until 6 weeks. I guess only time will tell! I'm trying to tell myself I'm lucky to still feel great but I just want to make sure everything in progressing normally!

After my appointment, I met Addam and we went to look at a few houses. We found a new realtor that we really like and he came up with a few good options. The last house was my favorite! It has a wonderful open floor plan downstairs, a large fenced in back yard, and all 4 bedrooms upstairs. It's also only 3 years old and very competitively priced. It might be the one!

5 weeks!

Tomorrow marks one week since the big news! This weekend was uneventful. We did have to cancel a trip to Kings Island on Saturday. As it turns out, roller coasters aren't on the "ok" list when you're knocked up! :) We went and looked at a few houses. One of them had an amazing backyard and all 4 bedrooms on the 2nd floor. The downstairs was a little smaller than we like. It's definitely going to make the short list. We have another appointment with our realtor Wednesday and we're looking forward to seeing what he comes up with.

Wednesday is also my first appointment! I'm excited but not sure exactly what to expect. I will only be 5 weeks and 2 days so I'm sure it will be too soon to see anything. Probably just a lot of paperwork and blood tests.

Breaking The News!

Well, it's official! I'm knocked up! It all started on Tuesday night. Addam and I had planned on going to Outback to celebrate our 4 month wedding anniversary (cheesy, I know). I decided to test "just in case" so I could enjoy a guilt free glass of wine. As soon as it crossed the test panel, the plus sign was unmistakable! Addam got home about an hour after I took the test. I asked him if he wanted a present before we went out to dinner and handed him the test. He hugged and kissed me. Then must have asked "Are you serious?!" "Are you sure?!" like 5 times.

He was so cute at dinner, he started worrying about how to pay for everything, how to save more, that may be we should buy a smaller house. Silly husband! He is over protective all ready! We are so cautiously excited!
