Newest Nursery Addition- Closet Dividers

As most of you all probably know, I am not the most crafty person in the world. I saw the idea to make personalized closet dividers online and decided to give it a try. I started out with plain wooden hangers that I found at Michael's.

We had several colors of test paint from the walls for the nursery so I used that to paint them solid colors. I made 2 pink, 2 greens, and 1 purple.

Here is the final product!

All together now!

In action! I can't figure out how I want to attach the ribbon yet so I just slide them onto the clothes rack at this point.

I love this little sleeper. I can't wait until she grows into it!

I haven't been great about updating my survey. I have been crazy busy at work but I'll try to add an updated picture and survey soon. Thanks!

Nursery Pictures!!

Here is a picture from our Valentine's Dinner. 21 weeks 4 days

Finally! Here are some pictures of the nursery! We still have a few things to do like putting her name above the crib and get some wall art. But, here is the crib!! We are buying the crib mattress this weekend. There will be a white sheet with matching pink and green polka dots between the bumper and the crib skirt.

This is the view inside the crib and her mobile.

Changing tower and hutch. It will look a little different when we get the changing pad and everything...

The left side of the closet. Love all the storage Addam put in! And a few of her outfits!

This is the view from inside (right side of the closet). I was actually sitting on the lower shelves when I took this. :)

The rocker/glider. It reclines and swivels left to right. So comfy! And it has little pockets on each side of it for burp cloths and anything extra we need without getting up.

The window, valance, and hamper. I didn't notice Lexi was in the picture until just now! LOL

That's it for now.

Almost Finished Nursery!

Our nursery is almost finished! I thought I'd post pictures of each wall in progress! We have the crib, changing table, and hutch put together. I'll post more finished pictures soon! This is the first wall in progress. These shelves will go into the new walk in closet (hopefully this weekend!).

Hole in the wall!

With dry wall complete:

The shelves still need to go into the closet. I think this is a great picture of the wall color. It's a soft green. I forgot to take pictures before we started moving in furniture- oops!

Here is the right side wall where the crib goes now. Before with small half closet door made for oompa loompas:

With the wall knocked out:

Dry Wall:

Look how big it looks!!! I can't believe what a change it made. This is going to be my favorite room in the house!

Window wall before: Can you tell we just moved in when I took this picture? :) It was the only room in the house that didn't have furniture!

In progress with dry wall against the window:

Finished! With the box the the hutch was in leaning against the window.

Side wall as we were testing out paint colors: It took 6 test colors from Lowe's and we didn't like any of them! We went to Wal Mart and just bought a gallon and LOVE the color we chose!

Finished side wall!

Pictures of her crib and completed furniture will be up soon! I don't have them with me at work!

20 weeks & "big" ultrasound

Today was our 20 week anatomy scan. The tech was amazing! She explained everything as she was looking at it. We got to see her kidneys, heart, stomach, bladder, etc. She was already being a little stubborn (just like her Daddy, hehe) and we couldn't see the out going ventricles of her heart. The nurse wasn't concerned and said they would just check them at the next appointment. She also confirmed we are still having a girl! When the nurse was looking at our little girl's arm, she flexed it and we got a great picture! I'll try to add them tonight from home. Baby girl Lewis currently weighs 10 ounces and she said she would expect her to double in size by our next appointment!

How far along? 20 weeks 3 days

Total weight gain/loss: About 11 lbs. The books say I should be gaining one pound a week from here on out! That seems like a lot though! Trying not to gain too fast!

Stretch marks? None- and hopefully it stays that way.

Sleep: Well, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a Snoggle (pregnancy body pillow) for Valentine's Day. It seems like no matter how I fall asleep, I wake up on my back and my hands are asleep. Here's hoping!

Best moment this week: We put together the hutch and changing tower for her nursery! The painting is finished. Getting the carpet from Lowe's has been a bit of a nightmare but hopefully they will come and finish the closet sometime this week. It's really starting to come together.

Movement: I feel her wiggle around everyday, probably about 2-3 times a day. Addam still hasn't felt her yet though. Every time he puts his hand on my tummy she stops moving!

Food cravings: Still nothing that I just have to have but I pretty much eat all the time. Oh wait, I did that before I was pregnant! :)

Gender: GIRL!

Labor Signs: None at all and hopefully not for a long time!

Belly Button in or out? In

What I miss: Sleeping on my stomach

What I am looking forward to: Still the same thing- picking out her name! I think we've narrowed it down to two names but we don't agree on the spelling for either one!!

Weekly Wisdom: I got so much help from my friends that already have babies when it came time to register. Libbie and Cortney answered a lot of questions!

Milestones: We registered! It took way longer than I thought. We'll still probably read reviews and change a few things before it comes time for my shower but it's a great start.

Update: Nursery Remodel

Good morning everyone! Let's start off with an updated baby bump picture. This was taken last night at 19 weeks. She has definitely been growing in the last 2 weeks. My bump pictures are always taken in what will eventually be her nursery. This week, you'll notice we've been trying out different paint colors on this wall. :) Our crib, hutch, and changing table all came in last night! They are a beautiful dark, rich cherry. We are so happy with them! According to UPS, the bedding is currently in transit from Nashville TN so we're hoping it will be here soon!

This is the updated walk in closet. Dry wall is almost complete!

Here's our paint test wall. We think we have decided on a color but want to wait until the bedding comes in to make sure it matches. You'll have to wait for more updates to see!

This is the wall where the half closet used to be. It's really starting to come together. We ordered the new carpet from Lowe's last night. They have to come out and measure the room which they will hopefully do on Friday. We're hoping it will be installed by the middle of next week.

That's all for now! Love, The Lewis' (all 3!)

So what was Addam up to yesterday....

Our 4th bedroom is the smallest bedroom and had an unfinished closet. Our original plan was to finish the closet, add shelving, and install a pocket door to create space in the room. Well, Addam and his friend decided they had other plans...

Here is Wall 1 before. This is where the closet was supposed to go....

Here is Wall 1 after (in progress)! They completely knocked out the wall to add an additional 36 square feet to the room!

So where will the closet go you ask??? Well, here is Wall 2 before. These shelves where supposed to come down and get installed into the closet...

And here is Wall 2 in progress! They cut a hole in the wall to find a huge unfinished space! This will be the new walk in closet for the nursery adding an additional 36 square feet of finished space onto this side!!!!!

I am so excited and can't wait to start decorating!!!!!! I'll make sure and update the progress on our project! Here's an updated picture from last week (17 weeks).

18 weeks!

This is a picture of the closet we're putting into the nursery. You can see where the paint ends- there used to be a wall there!

How far along? 18 weeks- wow, time is really starting to fly!!
Total weight gain/loss: About 7 lbs.
Stretch marks? None!
Sleep: Pretty well lately. Only getting up once or twice a night. Trying to enjoy it while it lasts!
Best moment this week: Well, it's only the beginning of the week but we started remodeling the room that will be the nursery today. We are installing a pocket door for the closet, adding closet space, and putting in organizers for the closet. I can't wait until this part is finished and we can start decorating!
Movement: Starting last week, I have felt her pretty much everyday. Only like once or twice a day though. I can't wait for it to be strong enough for Addam to feel it too!
Food cravings: Still nothing too crazy. My sweet tooth came back though. I'm usually always a big sweets person and in the beginning of this pregnancy, I would have much rather had a cheeseburger than a candy bar. But the sweet tooth came back!
Gender: GIRL!
Labor Signs: None at all and hopefully not for a long time!
Belly Button in or out? In
What I miss: We went to Outback for dinner and I had to order my steak medium. It was not that good. I can't wait for a mid-rare steak!
What I am looking forward to: Picking out her name! I think we've narrowed it down to two names but we don't agree on the spelling for either one!!
Weekly Wisdom: I'm glad we started looking at registering already. There is so many things to choose from!
Milestones: Definitely feeling movement more frequently. It's so cool!
